Convicted former lawmaker sentenced to 154 years will only spend 2 years in prison says Court

A former lawmaker from Kogi State, North Central Nigeria who was recently convicted by the court for money laundering to the tune of $7 million was sentenced to 154 years in jail.

Mr Gabriel Dauda was found guilty of 77 count charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and was thereafter sentenced to 154 years in jail but according the Judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo, Mr Gabriel's 154 years jail term would be served concurrently which brings it to two years in jail.
Two years for each count charge when served simultaneously makes it only two years in jail (Legal arithmetic :) )
